We are now breeding Rosebreasted Cockatoos, also called Galah Cockatoos.
These are the most delightful birds, they make fantastic pets, and have wonderful talking ability. They are far less needy than their white cockatoo cousins, but still very cuddly! They can also be content to play on their own. They make fantastic family pets, being very gentle birds. Another great quality about these beautiful is their noise level, which is very low. Another advantage is these cockatoos do not have the powder down that the white cockatoos have, which can be a problem for those with allergies. It is very easy to quickly become hooked on these breathtaking pink birds!
Baby Rosies start out with quite a bit of grey on their chest, varies from bird to bird, which molts out into a beautiful, deep pink as they mature. See photos below.
